Breaking: Veteran Yoruba actor, Ogunjimi is dead

Renowned Yoruba actor, Ganiyu Oyeyemi, popularly known as Ogunjimi, has departed from this world.

The sad news of Ogunjimi's passing was shared by Yoruba actor Kunle Afod on his Instagram page.

In his statement, Afod expressed, "We did all we could, but it seems God wanted you by His side more. May your soul find peace. Rest in peace, Baba Ogunjimi, may your soul find eternal rest."

Students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, have commended the Students’ Union leadership following what has been described as the largest welfare intervention in the institution’s history. The Welfare Officer of the Great Ife Students’ Union, Osunleke Musab, led a large-scale food relief initiative that provided free meals to over 4,000 students and distributed more than 3,000 essential food items across campus. The intervention, which coincided with the ongoing examination period and the Ramadan fasting season, was designed to ease the financial and physical strain on students. The Vice Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun East, Comrade Ogundele Oyebiyi, has firmly denied reports alleging his suspension from the council, describing the claim as false, unconstitutional, and driven by political mischief.
