Mindset 4.0: EESAN OAU Set to Empower Students to Balance Books, Business Tomorrow

The Education Economics Students Association of Nigeria (EESAN), Obafemi Awolowo University Chapter, will host the Mindset 4.0 Conference on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the university's ICT Conference Hall.

The Summit which is themed "The Blueprint: Mastering Academics, Hustles, and The Future You," aims to equip students with practical insights and strategies to balance academic responsibilities with personal development and entrepreneurial ambitions.

Speaking on the objectives of the event, EESAN President,Mr. Daniel Olusanya (Duke Dan), stated that Mindset 4.0 is curated to inspire, educate, and empower students to navigate university life while building sustainable pathways for future success.

 “This year’s edition goes beyond motivation. It offers real tools, real stories, and actionable strategies from individuals who have excelled academically and professionally,”* Daniel explained. “Mindset 4.0 is where grades meet grind and passion meets paycheck. Every student focused on shaping a successful future should not miss this opportunity.”

He further  emphasized the conference's significance, stating, "This isn’t just another conference; it’s where books meet business, and passion connects with purpose."

The event will feature keynote addresses from Dr. Adeniyi John and Dr. O. O. Oyebode, as well as a dynamic panel session with thought leaders and achievers.

Why We Suspended Business Activities Of POS Operators At SUB - OAU SU Welfare Officer

The Students' Union of Obafemi Awolowo University has suspended the business activities of the Point Of Sales (POS) operators at the Union Building. This was disclosed by the newly elected Welfare Director of the Students Union, Busari Samuel Timileyin during an interview with City Bearers News on Friday.  He revealed that the suspension specifically targets POS vendors due to the complaint gotten from the students about exorbitant charges. He also told City Bearer News that he had met with the POS operators on Friday and the meeting resulted in new agreed-upon charges: #50 for #1,000, #100 for #1,500 to #4,000, and #150 for #5,000.   According to him, "the suspension is for only POS vendors and not all commercial activities. The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Mushin Zone recently concluded its April Islamic Vacation Course (IVC), bringing together 500 students from various area councils under the jurisdiction of Mushin Zone in Lagos State for a spiritually enriching experience.  The 115th April IVC, themed "The Sufficient Antidote," aimed to educate and inspire Muslim youths to live by Islamic principles.
