JUST IN: Nigerians React as National grid collapses 12th time in 2024

Nigerians were on Wednesday plunged into darkness following another collapse of the national power grid.
City Bearer News  reports that since January 2024 till date, the grid has collapsed 11 times.

Within one week in  October, the grid collapsed three times with its attendant blackouts, sparking reactions from Nigerians.

A tweet via the official handle of Nigeria's National Grid confirmed that the grid collapsed at about 2:09 pm on Wednesday.

"The major grid setback has occurred and the restoration is to commence," the handler wrote.

Honorable Ganiyu Yusuf, Speaker of the Students' Union at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Popularly known as KOB has been elected as the National President of the Nigeria Student Legislative Council (NSLC).  It was observed that the election was held at the 2024 Convention Of the NLSC where many members of the union across Nigeria storm the venue of the event. Why I Slipped, Fell At Eagle Square - Tinubu Opens Up

President Bola Tinubu has responded to the viral video of him slipping while boarding the presidential vehicle at Eagles Square in Abuja. Tinubu jokingly referred to the fall as a "swagger" and explained that as a traditional Yoruba boy, he was performing a customary greeting called "dobale" to mark Democracy Day.
