"Our armed forces launched a significant batch of ballistic and cruise missiles, along with a large number of drones, targeting various 'Israeli' enemy locations.

"This is our third operation in solidarity with our oppressed brothers in Palestine.

"We affirm our commitment to continue more precision strikes with missiles and drones until the 'Israeli' aggression stops.

"We reiterate that Yemen's stance on Palestine is firm and principled and that Palestinians have every right to self-defense and to attain [what is legitimately theirs] in full."

Mr. Ibu To Undergo Further Medical Treatment Abroad - Family

The family of the renowned Nigerian comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has provided an update on his health. In a statement posted on Mr. Ibu's Instagram page on Tuesday, October 31, they expressed their gratitude to the general public for the immense support, encouragement, and prayers during this challenging time.

31 Journalists confirmed dead in Gaza

It was gathered that, the Committee to Protect Journalists(CPJ) released a statement on Monday indicating that at least 31 journalists, who were covering the conflicts in Gaza, Palestine, have lost their lives.

Among the tragic casualties were Roshdi Sarraj, a renowned filmmaker, as well as Issam Abfallah, a videographer based in Beirut who worked for Reuters. Abfallah was killed near the Lebanon border when shelling occurred from the direction of Israel.

Providing more information, the CPJ revealed that eight journalists have been reported injured, while nine others are either missing or detained.

The CPJ highlighted the immense risks faced by journalists in Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli ground assault, devastating airstrikes, disrupted communications, and frequent power outages.

In response to the allegations, the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) stated that they are conducting an investigation. The IDF also mentioned that they couldn't guarantee the safety of journalists operating in the Gaza Strip, despite their prior assurances that Israeli strikes would not harm media personnel.

Tragedy As Father Defiles His 12 Year Old Daughter

In a deeply disturbing incident, a man by the name of Abdullah Abiodun has been accused of sexually assaulting his own twelve-year-old daughter within the confines of their Badagry residence.

Reports indicate that Abiodun forcibly raped his daughter while they were both present in their home. According to the victim's younger brother, their father had asked him to leave after a visitor had departed. Seizing this opportunity, Abiodun proceeded to remove his daughter's undergarments, forcefully grabbed her neck, and made an attempt to engage in sexual intercourse with her. The young girl's screams alerted her brother, who promptly investigated the commotion. Upon entering the room, he witnessed his father atop his sister.

Reacting swiftly, the brother intervened to protect his sibling, prompting the victim to flee and alert their neighbors about her father's disturbing intentions.

Tinubu Meets German Chancellor Scholz At Aso Rock Villa

President Bola Tinubu, on Sunday afternoon, met with the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Scholz, who arrived at the Villa’s forecourt at 03:40 pm (local time), is visiting Nigeria for the first time since assuming office in December 2021.

It also begins his two-day working visit where he is scheduled to meet business leaders in Lagos on Monday, October 30.

Both leaders met at the 18th G20 Summit in India where the German helmsman told Tinubu, “We acknowledge the business-friendly reforms you have put in place. I am happy to inform you of my desire to visit you in Nigeria in October, which will allow us to carry forward these initiatives.”
