Famous American Rapper Dies After Collapsing on Stage

Famous American rapper and radio personality, Isaac Freeman, professionally known as Fatman Scoop, is dead. Rapper Fatman Scoop died at 53 after suffering a medical emergency on stage during a concert. Announcing his death on Saturday, his tour manager said he was ‘lost for words.’ A viral video on social media showed the moment Scoop collapsed on stage in Hamden Town Center Park, Connecticut, on Friday, and was rushed to hospital. He was seen struggling after he climbed the stage at his final show before disappearing from view, as medics raced to revive him.

BREAKING: Telegram CEO arrested at French airport

Telegram chief executive Pavel Durov has been arrested by French police at an airport north of Paris. Mr Durov was detained after his private jet had landed at Le Bourget Airport, French media reported. According to officials the 39-year-old had been arrested under a warrant for offences related to the popular messaging app. Russia's embassy in France is taking "immediate steps" to clarify the situation, according to Russia's TASS state news agency. Durov had been travelling on his private jet, French TV channel TF1 said on its website. Telegram is particularly popular in Russia, Ukraine and former Soviet Union states. The app was banned in Russia in 2018, after a previous refusal by Mr Durov to hand over user data. But the ban was reversed in 2021. Telegram is ranked as one of the major social media platforms after Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and Wechat. Three Drug Lords, 16 Others Sentenced to 302 Years in Prison

Three drug lords and 16 other offenders have been convicted and sentenced to a total of 302 years in prison for trafficking and dealing in illicit drugs. It was gathered that the drugs they were accused of trafficking are cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, cannabis, and opioids among others. In a statement mae available on Friday by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency’s Spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, said the 19 convicts lead the list of 414 drug traffickers and dealers convicted by the Federal High Court across Benue, Bauchi, Edo, Lagos, Ogun, Gombe, and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, between July 1st and 31st, 2024, following charges brought against them by the end NDLEA.
